Business Breakthrough converted a SharePoint List into a Personal Profile where the members could upload their picture and complete a form with answers to "Hobbies and Interest", "Expertise to be Shared", "Occupation", "Contact Information" etc. These profiles are searchable, so if you want to connect with someone who has real estate expertise you simply search for it and the respective profiles are returned to you. This is and extremely efficient way to help connect the members and is all accomplished "self service" online.
