Ydesigns.com™ and WebStoreUniversity.com now offer our Yahoo! Store Basics designed to ‘teach a man/woman to fish’ for shoppers with a Yahoo! Store net! This is the first in our series of classes we call our ‘Success Path” designed to help ease the learning curve in opening or managing a Yahoo! Store. Taught by Matthew Ledford to students across the US and beyond. WebStoreUniversity uses Centra webconferencing software and powerpoint slides together with live audio to equip store owners with basic tools to build a successful store.

o Steps to building a great store (Store materials list)
o Must haves to get open!
o Build it and they will come (not unless you do these specific things!)
o Learn to control the look of your site-variables
o All around the editor (Simple, Regular & Advanced)
o The mystery of database uploads unveiled. Is data upload for you?
o What about images? Where do I start?
o Processing orders and requests efficiently
o Using statistics to increase effectiveness
o Order settings required to open the store
o Site settings, email and domain management
o Promote, promote, promote (frequently overlooked by novices)

Students should have at minimum:
1. Built a test store
2. Moused around within the store manager
